Paris, 15th May 2013 – The newly formed Security Identity Alliance is, for the first time, inviting membership applications at Science Media Partners’ forthcoming Security Document World 2013 (SDW 2013) conference.
The group, established to accelerate the adoption and delivery of eGovernment services, is hosting a Members Information and Recruitment Meeting at SDW 2013 in London on 23rd May 2013 - welcoming participation and new membership applications from interested organizations across the industry.
Launched this week by leading secure eDocuments companies 3M, Gemalto, Morpho (Safran) and Oberthur Technologies the Secure Identity Alliance offers a trusted partner for governments when defining their eDocument strategies and implementing associated eGovernment services. Its principle objective is to accelerate the transition to smart eDocuments to support the efficient roll-out of eGovernment online services by:
• Describing and promoting use cases of convenient value-added eGovernment services;
• Sharing experiences and best practices between industry and governments modernizing their services, in particular towards ensuring the privacy of the end-users’ personal information;
• Promoting standardization of relevant and appropriate industry specifications;
• Making recommendations on the most up-to-date means to properly address the governments identity and privacy challenges, including eDocument hardware, software and secure printing technologies, materials and physical security expertise, in order to deliver the level of confidence and assurance needed for the rapid adoption of eServices that can be trusted by citizens;
• Providing consistent reference information on security, identity and privacy challenges in a transparent manner.
As the Official Media Partner of the Secure Identity Alliance, Science Media Partners’ SDW 2013 event is the perfect location to host the Alliance’s first Members Information and Recruitment Meeting. SDW 2013 is the 'number one' international event for technology suppliers, security document printers, infrastructure providers and integrators and provides a global showcase for next-generation human identity solutions, focusing on intrinsic document security and on the new cutting-edge secure infrastructure now required to produce and use these advanced documents in live situations.
The alliance offers two types of membership, welcoming any organizations that meet its membership criteria and are willing to participate in supporting the goals of the Alliance.
The Members Information and Recruitment Meeting will take place at SDW 2013 in London on 23rd May at 12:40. The event is held in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre’s Mountbatten Room on the sixth floor. A buffet lunch will be served.
